DUALENE AIC IMC W

DESCRIPTION AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Two-component, water-based acrylic-isocyanate resin (polyurethane) paint, as a treatment prior to the application of water-based protective cycles and for the consolidation of cementitious and absorbent substrates.

MAIN FEATURES
Use as a primer promotes adhesion of the subsequent water-based protective cycle and prevents absorption of the substrate from depleting the binder in the finish, thus altering its final performance; as a consolidating agent, it aggregates cementitious and absorbent substrates in general, making them cohesive again.

APPLICATION DATA
The substrate must be clean, free of substances that hinder the penetration of the product (waxes, silicones, oily traces), and parts that are detaching. The limited presence of humidity in the floor isnot an obstacle to the laying of the product.

The presence of water in counter pressure, not adequately treated, can cause detachment of the product and of any overcoated finish. Base product and hardener should be mixed thoroughly for a few minutes, if possible mechanically. The necessary dilutions with water must always be made on the catalysed product.
Dilute from 70 to 100% with clean water depending on the degree of absorption and the state of cohesion of the substrate. Do not dilute too much so as not to reduce the dry residue and with it the performance of the product. A single coat of primer is usually sufficient to ensure correct preparation of the substrate. Particularly disaggregated or highly porous substrates may require a second coat, to be applied within 15-20 hours of the previous one. In order to establish optimal consumption and dilution, it is advisable to carry out tests before treatment.

Application can be made by brush, roller or spray, including airless. When overcoating two-component water-based products, wait for the primer coat to dry.Operate at temperatures between 10-35°C (use below 10°C does not allow the catalysis reaction), even of the substrate, avoiding application in full sun during the summer season. Wash tools with water immediately after use.

YIELD
The yield depends on the method of use, dilution with water and absorption of the substrate; on average, approx. 6-8 m2 can be treated with 1 litre of dilutedproduct, corresponding to approx. 60-80 g of concentrated product.
