MONOPOL ANS

DESCRIPTION AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Water-based, fluorinated, anti-graffiti impregnation protective product only for absorbent surfaces such as plaster, stone, face brick. Not suitable for treatment of finishes, paints and coatings.

The effectiveness of the treatment is affected by the amount of product applied and therefore by the absorption of the substrate. It is necessary to carry out assays before treatment to verify the penetration capacity of the protective and the amount necessary for saturation.

MAIN FEATURES

The the polymer used gives the product high anti-stick capabilities against markers and spray products commonly used to execute vandalism writings on wall surfaces, preventing their penetration into the treated substrate and facilitating their removal. For maximum anti-writing characteristics, the product should be applied in quantities proportional to absorption. With particularly porous substrates, the lack of saturation may result in the persistence of halos even after the removal of the writing.

Used outdoors it exhibits strong water-repellent properties, helping to protect the treated substrate.

APPLICATION DATA

The substrate must be clean, free of substances that hinder the penetration of the product (waxes, silicones, oily traces), and detaching parts. The limited presence of moisture is not an obstacle to the application of the product, but may limit its penetration.

The product is ready to use. Application can be done by brush, stream or spray operating at low pressure to avoid product misting. Regardless of the application system adopted operate with the “wet-on-wet” technique, giving several successive passes until the substrate is completely saturated. Preliminary tests should be carried out on representative parts to be treated to determine the optimal quantities. The appearance of the substrate may take on a slight totalization, especially for very absorbent substrates.

Carry out the removal of graffiti from surfaces close to their creation, using rags or brushes, working on small successive portions and completing the cleaning by washing with water under pressure. In the case of markers use denatured alcohol. For spray cans use the thickened solvent mixture MONOPOL SVR (see technical data sheet); alternatively use fast evaporating solvents (nitro, mek), operating avoiding letting the solvent drip on the underlying support.

To maintain the properties of the treatment, the product must be restored after cleaning the substrate.

Operate at temperatures between 15-30°C (including of the substrate), and at R.H. < 80%, avoiding working in full sun, especially in hot weather.

Wash tools with water immediately after use.

YIELD

Is necessary to saturate the substrate, the yield varies greatly depending on absorption. Through preliminary tests it will be able to be estimated more accurately; indicatively, the consumptions are between 0.1-0.8 L/m2.
