DESCRIPTION AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION
One-component water-based varnish, based on polyurethane emulsion, for both internal and external protection of cement floors, even painted ones of which it aids cleaning. The product is suitable as a protective coating for masonry surfaces, even with other finishes in place, to which it imparts high washability.
It finds use as a protective waterproofing treatment of surfaces in contact with water (for shower interiors and in general for prolonged contact, use DUALENE AIC TRA SW see technical data sheet); used on glossy lime finishes, it is necessary to apply an appropriate insulator before the paint (direct contact with strongly alkaline substrates can cause the emulsion to break down). Available in gloss-satin (75 gloss), and matte-satin (30 gloss).
MAIN FEATURES
Non-yellowing, abrasion and saponification resistant, suitable for protecting concrete surfaces and as a treatment to facilitate cleaning of rough non-slip finishes.
APPLICATION DATA
The substrate must be clean, free of substances that hinder product adhesion (waxes, silicones, oily traces), compact and very important dry. The presence of counterthrust water in the substrate can cause the paint or subsequent coating to detach. New cementitious substrates must be cured for a minimum of 40 days. The product is used in the supplied condition without any dilution.
Application on paints must be done when the finish is completely dried; lime substrates must first be treated with specific primer. It is always applied in at least two coats; successive coats should be applied when the previous one is dry. Application can be done by brush, roller or spray. Operate at temperatures between 15-30°C (also of the substrate), and at R.H. < 80%, avoiding direct sun exposure. Clean tools with water after use.
YIELD
Yield varies depending on the roughness and absorption of the substrate. On average, 8 to 10 m2/L per layer is treated. On low absorbent and smooth finishes, yield may increase
