DESCRIPTION AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Water-based protectant with a base of polysiloxanes and fine-particle acrylic resin in water emulsion, for the consolidating and water-repellent treatment of absorbent surfaces such as natural stone, cementitious substrates (on which it performs anti-carbonation action), bricks and building substrates in general, to which it is desired to give a wet appearance to revive the chromatic tone of the treated item
MAIN FEATURES
It performs consolidating action on disaggregated substrates, giving them water-repellent properties, with a single product. By reducing water absorption, it significantly limits disintegrating reactions that can compromise the structure of the substrate. The ability to penetrate allows it to retain good vapor permeability and carry out the protective action in depth, avoiding the formation of surface concentrations of product. Depending on the absorption of the substrate and the amount applied, it imparts a wet appearance to treated artifactsAll water-repellent action products must be restored every 3-4 years to maintain the protective properties.
APPLICATION DATA
Il prodotto è fornito pronto all’uso. Al fine di stabilire i consumi ottimali in funzione all’assorbimento e al degrado del supporto, eseguire prima del trattamento saggi preliminari su campioni rappresentativi del materiale sul quale si opera. Il supporto deve essere pulito; tracce di umidità non pregiudicano l’impiego del prodotto, possono però ostacolarne la penetrazione. L’applicazione può essere eseguita a pennello o spruzzo. Indipendentemente dal sistema applicativo adottato operare con la tecnica del “bagnato su bagnato” procedendo dal basso verso l’alto, per evitare che colature di prodotto sul supporto non trattato restino evidenziate ad applicazione completata. Nel caso il manufatto non assorba completamente il prodotto, l’eccesso deve essere asportato (con straccio, pennello ecc), prima dell’essiccamento, per evitare la formazione di depositi superficiali traslucidi.
Operare con temperature di 10 – 30°C, anche del supporto, evitando l’applicazione in pieno sole per non compromettere la penetrazione. Le superfici trattate vanno riparate dalla pioggia per le prime 24-48 h dall’applicazione.
